Anthropic's $518B Compute Bet: Who Wins From the AI Buildout?

Anthropic confidentially filed for its IPO back in June. But the bigger story for AI investors isn't the listing — it's the prospectus.

According to the confidential prospectus reviewed by Reuters, Anthropic has committed at least $518 billion to cloud, compute, and AI infrastructure over roughly the next decade. About 80% of it is non-cancelable — they pay whether they use the capacity or not.

That is one of the largest AI buildout commitments on record. And it's coming from a company that did $4.6B in revenue last year.

The growth story

Anthropic generated about $4.6B in 2025 revenue — roughly 12x the prior year. But growth is coming at enormous cost: compute and infrastructure spending hit $7.33B (more than half of its $12.65B in operating expenses), the operating loss topped $8B, and the reported net loss was about $42B — though roughly $34B of that was a financing-related accounting charge, not cash out the door.

Monday's selling took the S&P down 0.8% and the Nasdaq 0.9%. The 10-year is back to 5.24% this morning and the 30-year to 5.57%. The weekly readings are still red. The S&P is at -87 equal weight and -22 cap-weighted, with 46 names breaking out against 270 breaking down. The Russell is at -62 and -24. The Nasdaq is barely positive at +1.8.

The daily pulse turned this morning. On the S&P it's +22 equal weight and +104 cap-weighted, with 153 names breaking out on the day against 73 breaking down. That's a bounce starting. It isn't a signal yet.

What makes this one worth watching is who's buying. The five-day average of insider buying to selling is at its highest in six months, heading into quarter-end. It spiked the same way at the end of March, when the market was at its darkest. Momentum turned about a week later, and the S&P ran 12% in 13 sessions.

The equal-weight S&P (RSP) is the chart to watch. It's holding the 38.2% retracement of its run at $209, with the 200-day and the 50% level st

WEEKLY GLOBAL LIQUIDITY UPDATE

Global Liquidity increased to US$196.30 trillion in the latest data.

  • The 3-month annualised growth rate picked up to 4.5%
  • 12-month growth increased to 6.3%

Latest data show that headline liquidity has reached a new high of US$196.30 trillion, while underlying liquidity, measured by the Shadow Monetary Base, has fallen to US$107.71 trillion, the lowest level in 16 months. Favourable funding conditions continue to support headline liquidity growth, with the collateral multiplier rising to a new record high of 1.82.

The gap between strong headline liquidity and weak underlying liquidity has therefore widened further. We note, however, that bond market volatility, as measured by the MOVE Index, has picked up in recent days. This warrants close monitoring, as sustained higher volatility would likely increase collateral haircuts, reduce the collateral multiplier, and potentially weaken liquidity conditions.

We've been talking about a ZEC short for a couple of weeks now and its looking like we may finally be able to start building a short position this week.

Here is what I am looking for and how I intend to scale into this position. If you have not watched my pinned video on position sizing and leverage, I suggest you watch that as well before this trade sets up.

ZEC has finally broken the lows of this upper range and I am now actively looking for entries on a move back up into or near the range. Its hard to say exactly where price will move to, but we can identify zones of interest and strategically place orders in those zones.

In this example - you can see how I would scale into a position. If this was a $10,000 account and I was risking $1000 total in this trade - the first entry would be $100, 2nd entry would be $300 and the final entry $600. Your average short entry price would end up near the $1540 price range if all orders get filled. You can see how laddering in like this can really h

$MU EARNINGS WEDNESDAY — THIS ONE MATTERS

Micron reports Sept. 30 after the close, and the headline Q4 numbers may not be what moves the stock.

Guidance:
• Revenue: $50B ± $1B
• Non-GAAP EPS: $31 ± $1
• Gross margin: ~86%

Consensus: ~$51.2B revenue / ~$31.6 EPS — meaning the market is looking for a beat above the top end of guidance.

But the real focus is FY27 guidance.

HBM4: high-volume shipments underway for its lead customer, with additional customers in qualification.
Pricing: DRAM/NAND pricing and whether margins can remain around 86%.
Capex: higher FY27 spending could raise concerns about future memory supply.
Demand durability: 16 strategic customer agreements representing ~$22B of expected commitments/deposits strengthen the longer-term story.
FCF: Q3 generated an impressive $17.6B.

The market already knows Micron is making serious money.

The question is how long this cycle can last.

A strong Q4 + bullish FY27/HBM outlook could change the conversation. A big beat with cautious forward g

$MET

PENJELASAN :

Sesuai pandangan awal:

Apakah $MET akan mengikuti $PUMP ?

Entry: 0.20-0.70 (postingan awal).

THE TREASURY BASIS TRADE AND WHY IT IS NOW A HUGE PROBLEM:

The Treasury basis trade is a huge, highly leveraged hedge-fund trade built around exploiting tiny differences between the price of US Treasury bonds and Treasury futures. In simplified terms, a hedge fund buys a Treasury bond while selling a futures contract on essentially the same exposure. Because the price difference between the two is normally extremely small, the trade is only attractive if it is done at enormous scale. Hedge funds therefore finance the Treasury purchases largely by borrowing in the repo market, allowing them to use substantial leverage.

The important point is that this is no longer an obscure corner of finance. Basis-trading hedge funds have become major participants in the Treasury market, partly because banks have become less willing or able to warehouse the enormous quantities of government debt being issued. The trade therefore performs a useful function: hedge funds absorb Treasuries and help connect

Are Semiconductor Stocks ready for new highs?

16-, 24- and 36-week cycles dominate swing moves of the Semiconductor Index (SOX).

The 24W cycle has just bottomed and SOX responded nicely. Soon, 16W and 36W cycles will jointly oppose the 24W cycle.

There will be additional long opportunities in semis:

- Nov'26: Troughs of 16W and 36W cycles

- Mar'27: Troughs of 16W and 24W cycles

Weekend Market update.

Hopefully everyone is enjoying the weekend. Please read this carefully 🙏

We have a critical week ahead with PCE, the Jobs Report, $MU earnings and $NKE earnings. Despite the macro environment not being very supportive, I’m still maintaining a slightly bullish view on the market.

Earnings, AI developments and continued AI infrastructure spending are keeping money flowing into the market. So far, many of the red days have continued to act as buying opportunities, but I still don’t want to chase strength or ignore the macro risks.

Trump has also scheduled an AI meeting next week, so we could see additional headlines and potential moves around AI.

At the same time, companies like $NVDA, $AMD, $MU and the major hyperscalers continue to commit significant capital toward AI infrastructure. The bottleneck remains real, and I don’t see AI development slowing down anytime soon. In my view, compute demand could grow enormously over the coming months and years.

I believe we still

SPX Time Cycles - A Teaching Moment

· No noticeable changes in the SPX cycle composite since the last post.

· But let me zoom in for a teaching moment.

· I often repeat to use cycle composite peaks and troughs as approximate turning points and not to infer price levels from the cycle composite amplitudes.

· What makes cycle composites approximate?

· Cycle periods, at least for those cycles considered to be stable and reliable, are fairly accurate; they could vary slowly over time around their stable periods, but that’s a tertiary effect.

· Cycle phases experience continual small phase jitter due to the algorithm constantly trying to determine the optimum phase, but that’s also a small effect.

· The main culprits are the cycle amplitudes. For some cycles, they could vary noticeably over time.

· The cycle detection algorithm estimates the average cycle amplitudes over several cycle periods.

· When amplitudes are constant, the estimates are very accurate, but when they are time-varying, the averag

The reason I am putting this list on here, is because I want you to help me. Is there anything you want better defined that isn't on this list that will help you better understand my overall thesis?

I am running out of time to get this in front of people
