Long-Term Buying Opportunities: 7 AI Infrastructure Names to Scale Into
The market is handing long-term investors what it rarely hands out: entry points in the best AI infrastructure names. Not dips to chase — levels to scale into patiently. Timeframe is the edge.
$AVGO — The picks-and-shovels compounder. Custom AI silicon for hyperscalers plus the networking fabric inside every AI cluster. Real earnings, real margins, real buybacks. This is the bucket-1 name you scale on pullbacks and hold for years.
$MRVL — Interconnect is on track to become bigger than compute inside Marvell's own FY2031 framework, with a $20B FY2028 revenue target backing it. The entire fabric-shift thesis in one ticker. I hold this one.
$CRDO — Retimers and DSPs are the glue of AI connectivity: every faster interconnect generation needs more retiming. Optical leverage without the optical volatility. Buy weakness, not strength.
$AAOI — My highest-upside optical name over the next 2-3 years. $1.7B raised this year to expand Texas capacity, and the third ATM completed October 5 cleared the offering overhang. Base case $12 EPS in CY2028, bull case $16. An execution story — scale in and give it time.
$CBRS — The pure-play AI inference bet: wafer-scale chips built for inference rather than training. Speculative bucket — buy washouts only, never chase green. The lockup overhang runs through the November 9 final unlock, and washouts around unlocks are historically the entry. Patience is the position.
$INTC — Basing around $100-103 after the flush to $98. Foundry optionality plus a restructuring story the market left for dead. No accumulation signal yet: it needs to reclaim $103, then the 100-day near $107, before any recovery structure starts. Starter size only, and only on strength — never average down into weakness.
$NBIS — Tier-1 neocloud and the demand side of the $5T compute thesis. Broke the $205-208 zone today, flushed to $197, and is attempting to reclaim it as I write this. The near-term headwind is real: AI debt is clearing near 11% see the Volta loan , which raises financing costs for every NeoCloud. Long-term, compute demand is not the question — cost of capital is. Let the reclaim prove itself with a close above $208, or wait for the next washout toward $197-200.
these are 2-3 year holds, not 2-3 week trades. Enter in stages — a starter, an add on weakness, an add on confirmation. names like CBRS, NBIS get smaller dollar commitments than compounders like AVGO, MRVL . Never all at once, never on a green spike.
