Republic ResearchMay 18, 2026Public PostLet me catch you up on where things stand heading into the week. Last week was rough for the broader market. Hot CPI, hot PPI, bond yields ripping higher, and our momentum readings were showing real deterioration underneath the surface. The mega caps were holding things together but the average stock was getting sold pretty hard. The Russell was cracking. It felt like the air was coming out. This morning is a different story. Our readings flipped from negative in the pre-market to positive at the open. The buying is broad. The number of names in breakdown territory dropped from over half the index on Friday to a handful this morning. The longer-term readings on small caps haven't fully healed. But the daily pressure has reversed hard and if this holds through the afternoon we go into tomorrow with a much better setup than we had going into today. Now, the stuff we've been flagging hasn't gone away. The 30-year is still above 5.1%. The 10-year hit 4.6% last week. Bitcoin dropped from ... see more

Dr Brana VojcicMay 16, 2026Public PostS&P 500 vs McClellan Indicators Update - Our trend fiend, the McClellan Summation Index ($NYSI), is indicating a trend change in $SPX, while SPX is grinding above the upper Keltner channel. - Is the $NYSI early? Yes, it could be early by a few days, but it is a red flag, and it is not alone, many breadth and technical indicators are sending warnings. - The McClellan Oscillator ($NYMO) looks terrible.

PaulMay 15, 2026Public PostPutin is not visiting Beijing to meet Xi to discuss what was said between Trump and Xi. That is already well understood. As ever when it comes to all matters, China and Russia are joined at the hip. Particularly when it comes to foreign policy. People appear to have forgotten that Lavrov visited China in mid April. That is the purpose of the visit by Putin. There are huge developments going on between the two nations. People have also forgotten that Araghchi visited both China and Russia recently. There is nothing for Xi and Putin to discuss with respect to both Iran and also Taiwan. In terms of bilateral trade between the US and China, Russia has no need to show any interest in that.
TonySeverinoCMTMay 14, 2026Public PostChainlink Retest: Target $13.13 It looks like a low timeframe retest in Chainlink has completed and the weekly candlestick is looking nice at the moment. If this moves further the upside, with a larger white candle body, leaving that wick behind, it will be a rather bullish candlestick setup. Especially coming out of last week's candle being so large I think this ends up touching the upper Bollinger Band at minimum' I am keeping my LINK trade open as a result of this development
Dr Brana VojcicMay 14, 2026Public PostS&P 500 vs McClellan Indicators - Red Flag SPX is riding above on top of the upper Keltner channel. At the same time, the swing trend indicator, McClellan Summation Index, is positioned for a change of trend. McClellan Oscillator says there is something not right with this SPX move. Where is the breadth?
Dr Brana VojcicMay 13, 2026Public Post30-Year Treasury Yield exceeded 5% - Highest in nearly 20 years. Are they going higher? My analysis indicates they should peak in the resistance region and head lower toward 2029-2030.

Republic ResearchMay 13, 2026Public PostBack-to-back hot inflation prints. CPI at 3.8% yesterday. PPI this morning at 1.4% month over month, nearly triple what the Street was expecting. That's the biggest single-month jump in producer prices since March 2022. Year over year at 6%. Energy up almost 8% on the month. Gasoline up 16%. Every stage of the pipeline just printed multi-year highs. The reaction this morning has been telling. The broad market is selling hard. Over 60% of S&P 500 names are on the wrong side of the daily trend right now. The equal-weight readings on our system, which track what the average stock is doing, just broke their weekly trend for the first time in this run. Small caps are barely clinging on. The broader market is cracking under these numbers. But the mega caps are fine. They sold off briefly this morning and bought right back. The largest names in the S&P and Nasdaq are holding up while everything underneath them deteriorates. The gap between what the biggest stocks are doing and what the ave ... see more
russellclarkMay 13, 2026Public PostThe SVF where most of the value of Softbank lies these days has a concentrated profile. In SVF2 - Paypay is the biggest position, mainly due to its recent successful IPO. Much of the rest of the portfolio is loss making. The big uplift is from still private companies. Coupang, the biggest public holding in SVF1 has been crushed in last month or so... Or in essence, most of the value of Softbank is now in non-public companies.

bitsofwealthMay 12, 2026Public PostThis is more of a fun observation than anything serious, but it’s still a pretty interesting chart. This is the weekly chart of Bitcoin - illustrating what happened to price in the past, following either a new Fed Chair appointment or re-appointment. Latest Status (as of May 12, 2026): The Senate confirmed Warsh to a 14-year term on the Fed's Board of Governors (51-45 vote). This was the key first step. The Senate is expected to vote on (and likely confirm) his separate four-year term as Chair as soon as tomorrow (May 13). Jerome Powell's term as Chair officially ends May 15, 2026. Warsh is poised to succeed him shortly thereafter (likely sworn in soon after confirmation). Most analysts and reports anticipate Warsh will officially take over on or right around May 15, in time for a smooth transition (he could even lead the next FOMC meeting in mid-June). This aligns with the historical pattern you’ve been tracking on the BTC chart. Keep an eye on news today/tomorrow for the exact swe ... see more

PaulMay 12, 2026Public PostPakistan is set to launch its first-ever Panda Bond issuance, raising up to $250 million in yuan-denominated debt in China's onshore market. This initiative, part of a broader $1 billion programme, aims to diversify funding sources, lower borrowing costs, and strengthen foreign reserves. The bonds will be guaranteed by the Asian Development Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. After their financial crisis in 2023, Pakistan is utilising this and in part to replace a $3.5bn debt facility from the UAE. This represents a major shift in Pakistan's sovereign debt strategy towards strengthening ties with Chinese capital markets.

russellclarkMay 11, 2026Public PostARM is interesting. It is turning itself into an AI play - and its new CPU designs are supported by all the hyperscalers. But break ARM, you break Softbank, and you break OPEN AI. Alternatively, if OPEN AI and other AI agents start raising prices to generate cash, does demand drop? Is demand only strong because Chat GPT offers an internet search option uncluttered with ads?
russellclarkMay 11, 2026Public PostSoftbank also has good form as a harbinger of market changes - LEADING the US in 1999, 2006, and 2021. Which leads back to an earlier post.... are equities right on Softbank, or are bond markets?
