Republic ResearchJan 30, 2026Public PostMomentum is red across all three major indices. This is a day for building cash, making watchlists, and waiting for the panic to create buying opportunities. SPY 692.50 is your line in the sand. 1. Trump to Announce Kevin Warsh as Fed Chair Pick The biggest story moving markets. Warsh is viewed as more hawkish than alternatives, having broken with Bernanke over QE and long criticized balance sheet expansion. His odds jumped to 94% from 34% pre-report. The tension between his hawkish reputation and Trump's desire for lower rates will be worth watching. 2. Risk-Off Across Asset Classes Everything is selling. ES futures down 0.8%, NQ down 0.9%, RTY down 1.2%. Bitcoin crashed to $81,200. Gold lost the $5,000 handle briefly. This synchronized selling suggests liquidity stress rather than sentiment-driven moves. 3. Dollar Strength Pressuring Commodities DXY bid on Warsh speculation, creating a wrecking ball effect across metals. Gold dropped from its ATH down to $4,941 before bouncing. Si ... see more

IncomeSharksJan 29, 2026Public PostGoing through a bunch of REITs again but focusing on skilled nursing, retirement homes, and other ones that will benefit long term from an aging population. What's been called the "silver tsunami" is a trend that is starting to emerge as the baby boomers retire and get older going into retirement homes, special housing, etc. A lot of the charts have been trending up really aggressively the past few years and I imagine this continues for a while. On top of this narrative is a bigger narrative, one that probably is 10 to 20 years away but it's the biggest wealth transfer. If you look at all the billionaires the average age is over 60. There is so much of our wealth concentrated in a massive iceberg of money that's frozen because they don't need to take risks. Money markets, gold, silver, and real-estate. This is what keeps me an optimist for the next 10 to 20 years. People might feel like they can't afford homes, or that the boomers had it so easy but through inheritance, retirement, ... see more

Rajeev DesaiJan 29, 2026Public PostPondy Oxide Ltd has come out with excellent results. Sales up from 502 Cr to 776 Cr. Np up from 15 Cr to 37.60 Cr. Eps up from 5.39 to 12.31 I gave a call of Pondy Oxide Ltd at X at only 250. That was before Bonus of 1:1 and Split from FV 10 to FV5. So adjusted price after 1:1 Bonus and FV5 split is, 250/2 = 125 for Bonus and 125/2 = 62.50 on FV5 split. Because when I discussed, the FV was 10 and now FV is 5, so 100 shares become 200 and Bonus 1:1 , so 200 shares became 400.... So 250/4 = 62.50 Price is at Rs 1267, after ATH of 1578....means 25x in 4-5 yrs..... I bought at 250, sold at 265 seeing the margins are not going up, sales is also not up much... And it is 25X... My point here is, after all reasoning, we think, ye nahi chalega, and it became a multibagger!! And that too 25X... I have many 25X like that, but ask someone, who made 25X in his life? Double nahi hota with many... That is why, I don't discuss what you should SELL/BUY/HOLD. Which stock will move and how much, we ne ... see more

PaulJan 28, 2026Public PostChina’s household disposable income is not stagnating, it grew 5% in 2025. China’s household consumption is not stagnating, it grew 4.4% in 2025. Exports are not driving growth. Trade surplus accounts for ~20% of 2025 growth. Domestic consumption and investment drove ~80% of the growth. Enough said. West is clueless.

Republic ResearchJan 28, 2026Public PostWatch Photronics Today (PLAB) ASML shares up over 4% this morning after orders pretty much smashed estimates. Record Q4 orders came in nearly double what was expected. So the CapEx spend is clearly not having any issues when it comes to ASML. That's always been our thesis. This is a pure monopoly. If the US wants to spend money, print money, and hand it out to keep this AI race against China competitive, a lot of that capital winds up in ASML's coffers. Photronics is a supplier to ASML and they trade pretty much in tandem, just with a little bit of a lag. You might get a pullback today on ASML if it turns into a sell the news situation, maybe back to 1500 or so. But after that I wouldn't be shocked if it keeps cruising higher. And if that's the case, Photronics hasn't caught up yet. Clear as day on the chart. ASML moved, PLAB didn't. So you've got a little arb play here. This is about to become my new favorite thing. ASML moves, PLAB doesn't, jump in. Take a call a couple weeks out ... see more

Republic ResearchJan 26, 2026Public PostThis is what we want to see over the next few days if the Fed is providing support to the BOJ on the yen. If the Japanese have been selling foreign assets because of the situation over there, the Fed stepping in is basically telling them to stop selling. Stop selling bonds, stop selling US insurance companies. Here, we'll give you some money, we'll help you out. If that's happening right now while everything else is going haywire and everybody's paying attention to the shiny object, this is what AIG will do. Price goes higher, the 8 crosses above the 20. That's the classic setup for a momentum reversal and a nice move higher while everybody else is still confused about what's happening. This is the stuff we look out for. When we see a chart setting up, we make note of it, add it to the watch list, and keep one eye on it. We need 20 eyes. One on the kid, the other 19 on all these setups we find during the week. Let's watch each other's backs. Ten of us, that's 20 eyes. Somebody keep ... see more
