White House has finally realised that Chinese goods get shipped to Mexico, Vietnam, Canada, Malaysia and dozens of other countries first, to avoid tariffs. Around $75-80bn in goods is shipped this way every year. Whilst imports from China dropped to a 16-year low recently, imports from the likes of Mexico and Vietnam rose hugely in the process. Around 40 countries are participating in this deception. It is incredible the US only just realises this.
