IncomeSharksJan 29, 2026Public PostGoing through a bunch of REITs again but focusing on skilled nursing, retirement homes, and other ones that will benefit long term from an aging population. What's been called the "silver tsunami" is a trend that is starting to emerge as the baby boomers retire and get older going into retirement homes, special housing, etc. A lot of the charts have been trending up really aggressively the past few years and I imagine this continues for a while. On top of this narrative is a bigger narrative, one that probably is 10 to 20 years away but it's the biggest wealth transfer. If you look at all the billionaires the average age is over 60. There is so much of our wealth concentrated in a massive iceberg of money that's frozen because they don't need to take risks. Money markets, gold, silver, and real-estate. This is what keeps me an optimist for the next 10 to 20 years. People might feel like they can't afford homes, or that the boomers had it so easy but through inheritance, retirement, ... see more
