Is Rotation Over?

  • Strong rebound in Semis and Magnificent 7 stocks led the index gains today, not surprising after last week's sharp losses.
  • MAGS cycles were indicating a bounce.
  • However, 8 out of 11 sectors showed negative breadth; 2nd day in a row while headline indices showed nice gains!
  • Didn't someone mention yesterday that rotation into the broader market might be running out of fuel?

Is the rotation into the broader market over?

AI/chip stocks and most of the Magnificent 7 showed strength today, while health care also saw positive breadth.

The remaining eight sectors had either negative or flat breadth.

Notably, the S&P 500, mid-caps, and small-caps all had negative breadth.
